This website explains how foundations behave on the clay and limestone around Bowling Green. Here is where that explanation stops.
Dated October 2026. Questions to hello@bowlinggreenfoundationworks.com.
We write about sinkholes, red clay, bowed block walls and wet crawl spaces because people in Warren County live with them. Reading about a problem is a good start, but every house sits on its own patch of ground, and two cracks that look alike in a photo can have very different causes underneath.
This website is not
- An inspection of your house. Only someone standing in your crawl space or basement with a level and a crack gauge can say what is going on there.
- An engineering or geological report. We are not structural engineers or geologists. The Kentucky Geological Survey advises that checking a building site on karst can call for geophysical studies and core sampling, and that kind of work belongs to licensed professionals.
- A price quote. Cost figures on our pages are planning ranges drawn from national cost guides. Pier depth to solid rock, access and the size of the job move the real number, which appears only on a written plan.
- Insurance or legal advice. Standard homeowners policies usually exclude earth movement, including sinkholes, but your own policy and your agent decide what is covered.
- A promise about the ground. Repairs reduce risk. They cannot stop new voids from opening in limestone or keep a wet spring from soaking clay.
- A record of specific customer jobs. Photos illustrate the sort of ground and repairs the text talks about.
The only warranty on your job is whatever the contractor's signed agreement spells out; manufacturers' product warranties carry their own terms. If a basement wall is moving while you watch, if the ground drops near the house, or if water is standing near outlets in a basement or crawl space, keep everyone away from it, call 911 if anyone is hurt or in danger, and then call us at (270) 495-0544. If something on this website looks out of date or wrong, let us know so it can be corrected.
